Welcome to Gathering Midland!

From the outside Midland Michigan looks perfect. Low unemployment, good schools, a three-legged bridge, but the longer we live here the more things we notice that just don't feel right. Christ was recorded as saying that the entire Bible condenses into two points: love God and love everyone else. Gathering Midland is all about just that... gathering people, building communities, and making a difference.

There are a number of great resources out there and we've pulled many of them together. We think addressing only one of a person's needs misses the rest of the person. As such we've compiled some resources (both local and non) to help address issues of physical aid, community, spirituality, and small group resources.

Matt 22:34-39: Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
